ACTION AGAINST STATE CENSORSHIP
@ 2005-07-24 - 13:24:16Just to be clear - "The Church of Hate" is an ironic title for an anti-repression organisation.
We don't hate anyone or anything -- except censorship and governments that want to ban free speech.
Using "terrorism" as justification, the British government is planning to ban:
* "Incitement to religious hatred" - a vague and sinister law that will criminalise criticism of religion. Targets will include comedians, novelists and secular commentators.
(The government has also refused to repeal ancient and outdated blasphemy laws that jail or fine anyone who mocks Christianity.)
* "Indirect incitement of terrorism" - another vague law that will criminalise many "behaviours" - such as questioning whether US and UK government policies encourage terrorism; or calling suicide bombers "martyrs."
* "Accessing terrorist training" - such as logging onto "terrorist" websites or possessing materials with "terrorist" potential - like old science textbooks that contain recipes for primitive explosives.
The Church of Hate exists to defy such repressive laws.
In an absurd concession to established religions, the British government has promised not to prosecute clerics who quote passages from scriptures that promote hate.
For example:
To quote, directly, from the New Testament:
1. "Honour all men as brothers." 1 Peter 2:17
2. "If any man come to me and hate not his father and mother and wife and children and brethren and sisters, yea and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:26
3. "And I say to you my friends, be not afraid of them that kill the body and after that have no more that they can do." Luke 12:4
4. "I am come to send fire on the earth ... suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you nay; but rather division." Luke 12:49-52.
Thus, logically:
All men are brothers
You must hate all men
Don't be afraid to die
Jesus wants fire and division on Earth
Clearly, suicide bombing is the correct Christian response!
If these laws are enacted, The Church of Hate will issue - clearly ridiculous - statements intended to test these ludicrous laws.
For example:
"We encourage people to hate the Pope because he is Catholic."
"Suicide bombers are martyrs to the stupidity of religion."
Or, members will alert Police to the purchase of "terrorist materials" at Tesco that can be used to make chemical weapons and explosives - e.g. ammonia, bleach, nail polish remover (acetone), hydrogen peroxide, charcoal briquettes, matches.
Actions/statements will only be undertaken/issued in the names of those who, specifically, volunteer.
We hope that commonsense will prevail and that such actions will not be necessary, but to show your support, please leave an email address in the Comments section below.
Your email will not be sold, distributed, spammed or anything else.
You will only be contacted if the above laws are enacted.

I agree to freedom of speech, and am not into backpacking in any means manner or foul!
I may disgaree with other people's issue's but defend your right to have them!

Hatred is synonymous with self-centred, ideological young men who act out extreme religious beliefs, instead of putting God at the centre of all things.
Until they realise they are not God, there will be no accountability for them, no acknowledgement of right and wrong. A spiritual dimension cannot be shared by extremists because they know it all.

Absurd is where it's at right now.. whether you are barmy Muslim extremist.. or a neo right nutter..And I will have no hesitation on pouring tractor loads of hot steamy dung on such people. This includes anyone who, in the name of this or that cause, zealously claim the right to be the only ones that are right...and generally stick two fingers up to thicko general public. Well I have two fingers ...too. That's too many twos...baby!

Thank you for your invitation to become your blog friend; while I completely agree with the phrase 'action against state censorship' I can't agree with many of your subsequent statements - and your use of quotes taken out of context . I won't become your friend - but I will look at your site regularly and join in when I can.

Mmm, thanks. I am very worried about the new laws, and I am concerned that this may be the start of a new epoch of repression. Unfortunately, I can't agree with your method. What could you hope to acheive by spouting these comments? Who would you "release" them to? You would be shouting in the dark, I'm afraid.
The only weapon I can see that we have in this war is ourselves, and our place in government. But seeing as most of the apathetic population are too lazy to have ANYTHING to do with politics, we're lost. Unless we start teaching kids, in school, as early as possible, how the world works. How a democracy works, and how it grows corrupted if people "opt out" of its administration.

One wicked out there MP :-) mate, i for one am a supporter for freedom so therefore free speech. Just dont be sucked in and use the Bible for your examples, Jesus does not want us to kill nor hes gonna burn the house down so to speak. We are all brothers. We all come from Adam and Eve. We're brothers. Jesus wants us to put him and God first, what he means is if he said to you "Come and follow me, but you said i dont wish to leave my wife or children, then you just put him second and your family first. You cannot be his desciple. Yes dont befraid to die. Man can kill Man, but can NEVER kill the Spirit. The Spirit lives on. So Jesus is saying dont be afraid of death.
Jesus came to earth to save our ass, he came to show man how corrupt he is, how he puts his pride first, his desires first and is quick to kill when someone tries to take it away. Some leaders use the bible to back them up, its all in the name of rightousness! its good versus evil. These leaders for instance go on about ridding the evil of this world yet theres more evil in there backyard than anywhere else. Clean up there act first. The Catholics just like most christains interpret the bible to how they wish to live. I dont belong to any organisation, any christian church or any religeon. To many today are full of hippocrits! Yet i do believe in God and his Son Jesus. Dont be a sucker and use the bible to prove your point. Use your own knowledge.

Islamic theologian Dr Zuhair Araji of NZ states, "The Koran is the last word of God that concludes all the goals of messengers sent by God." Isn't that what Christians say about the Bible? There can be no new revelations. Why not?
Using "terrorism" as justification, the British government could also:
~agree to help Muslims wrestle power from the Christian groups in America. Then the US could join OPEC, and there would be no more hijacking of oil prices, at least until the oil runs out in another 25 years;
~agree to help Muslims convert the Pope to Islam;
~give school students the choice of either learning the Bible or the Koran by heart.

A nice hot cup of tea would be quite welcome at this stage!

I'm sorry to deny you as a friend. It is very unlike me to do that. But I am cannot for several reasons support you in your battle. To name a few:
1)I am not British and will not interfer with the over-all politics of this country.
2)I am an Atheist and will not support a Christian rebellion against something I will not interfer with.
3)And I don't hate in a primate way which seems to be your approach to straightening things out.
But good luck...

New laws against inciting your local al Qaeda sympathiser to terrorism could include some things you should never say:
~Americans are either Jews or anti-Semites. Therefore if you are an anti-Semite, does that mean that you are an American?
~Exploding volcanoes! You look so much like George Bush.
~Shalom; God be with you.
~Has Sheikh Osama bin Laden read up on Mahatma Gandhi?
~Is that a bomb in your bag?
~Lighten up, man!

Hi, I accepted your invitation out of courtesy and to be able to follow your train of thought - of which you have a right, though Im not entirely sure what your aims or objectives are at this point.I dont actually like the title of your blog I have to say. Problems have been occurring since the days of the crusaders protecting the rights of christian pilgrims visiting the holy land against those that wanted to deny them their safe passage so I dont feel that a miracle cure is going to happen over night. Also that we cant blame ourselves in this day and age for troubles that are ancient and historical. Its a collision of cultures - one moving towards self empowerment and modernisation and one trying to remain in the mind set of man written texts from a mediaeval and by-gone age and neither culture able to drag the other screaming into their world. Life and time cannot go backwards and cannot be inert either so forwards is the only natural state. The only 'God' able to sort this out is 'Man' and we as humans have choices, or we'd just be instinctual like all other living creatures. Anyone unable to allow choice works against 'God' in my view but the 'choice' cannot be to instigate murder in the name of 'God' - human decision is a responsibility and to blame 'God' or kill in the name of 'God' is a cop out.Life is not cheap in 2005 and if certain people want to live in a world of fantasy and destruction from a time long gone then they should find another planet and soon, and go live there in the way they wish to in a time warp of hate and suffering and leave the rest of us well alone.

Evie.. I am with 100 percent on that. None of this is new. Dominant powers wishing to spread there ideology worldwide are not new either. And you have struck on the importance of the capacity of an individual to choose. This I think above all else is crucial. The only thing I would say is how free are people in many parts of the world to make that choice??

I want to be a member of the C of H. But don't tell anyone.

Congratulations on persuading the Government to back down on plans to charge those who incite terrorism with treason, and to back down on 'rebranding' ethnic communities.

I like your ironic approach which takes the micky out of this new fear culture.
At least you are doing somthing about this new censorship state- I've thought about going to sit on downing street step and protesting against it there... I should do somthing, but what?
I wouldn't however want to be a hypocrite and lower my liberal standards by joining a "HAte church" even though it is tongue in cheek.
I will keep checking your website out to see how your doing-

What a shock I've had: King Charles the Clarke (not to be confused with King Charles the Deferred) had me arrested for sedition, Under the terms of the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2006.
I was thrown into a dungeon, interrogated and flagellated, then threatened with incarceration or incineration. What really upset me was that Charles insisted I supply provisions for 20 years in solitary and a self-assembly scaffold (IKEA $99.99) . How unfair is that?
Being of banshee extraction I wailed and howled up a cacophony of vitriol, which sent them all crazy. They couldn't get rid of me fast enough, so threw me out in the streets.
Luckily King Charles the Spaniel, on a mission from God, woofered to my rescue in a pas de deux with His Holiness Pope Ratzinger, and ordained me as the First Woman Archbishop of the Church of Hate!
But there was a catch: to confirm my appointment I've had to send 3 credit cards with PIN numbers to Charles Clarke MP (purely for identification purposes of course). Talk about greedy!
Note bene, "A politician is an animal who can sit on a fence and yet keep both ears to the ground". [anonymous quote].

The new laws comming in are very dangerous and in my opinion sinister.I think it's really naive to trust a government who blatently ignored 75% of the population and marched of to a unwinnable war.
